Homemade Caramels

I can not tell you how many times I have tried to make caramel candy. I have been through so many different recipes and I was starting to get really discouraged because I thought I would never be able to make it lol either the taste would be off or the texture was too soft like a sauce or too hard and chewy YUCK! 

I didn't give up, I have created the perfect Homemade Caramel Candy 



1 Cup- Butter

2 1/4 Cup- Brown Sugar

14oz Can- Sweetened Condensed Milk

1 Cup- Light Corn Syrup

1 Tsp- Vanilla 

In a saucepan combine all ingredients except for the vanilla. Cook on medium/high heat to 250 Degrees. Remove from heat. Add the vanilla. Pour into an 8x8x2 baking dish or pan lined with parchment paper and buttered. That dish doesn't have to be exact because you can alway form them later as you cut them:) I just used pieces of parchment paper to wrap them too!
